Privacy Policy
What Dirtbike Simulator collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who is responsible
Dirtbike Simulator is an independent game developed by Paulo Rodrigues (PLO), acting as the data controller for this website and for the game account system.
For anything in this policy, write to plo@dirtbikesim.com.
What we collect
Account data you give us: name, nickname, e-mail address, profile description and profile image URL.
Sign-in data from the provider you choose: your Google account id and e-mail address, or your Steam id with the public Steam profile name and avatar. We never receive your Google or Steam password.
Wishlist data: the platforms you selected, whether you asked to be e-mailed at launch, your site language, and the page that led you to sign up.
Technical data our servers record to keep the site running and secure: IP address, browser user agent, and timestamps of requests and sign-ins.
Why we use it
To create and operate your account on this site and, later, inside the game - it is the same profile.
To let you join the wishlist and to e-mail you about the release when you asked us to.
To confirm, once the game is released, whether an account owns a legitimate copy.
To keep the service secure: rate limiting, abuse prevention and diagnosing failures.
Legal bases under the GDPR and the Brazilian LGPD: performance of a contract for the account, your consent for launch e-mails, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We do not run advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
We do not ask for, receive or store payment data. No payment is taken anywhere on this site today.
Who else processes your data
Google, when you choose to sign in with Google, under the Google privacy policy.
Valve Corporation, when you choose to sign in with Steam, under the Valve privacy policy.
YouTube, when you play an embedded video. Videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube only receives data once you press play.
Our hosting provider, which stores the database and serves the site.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Delete the account and the record is removed.
Wishlist entries are kept until you leave the wishlist or delete your account.
Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, withdraw consent for launch e-mails, and object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Most of this is available directly on your profile page. For anything else, write to plo@dirtbikesim.com and we will answer within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD).
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child created an account, write to plo@dirtbikesim.com and we will remove it.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes are announced in the site news.
